Ingot Mold Reversible - Wire and Sheet

This reversible ingot mold may be used to make sheet stock or wire stock from scrap metal. It can make sheet stock 4mm (6 gauge) thick in sheets up to 7.5 x 4.3 cm. It can make wire stock 3” (7.6 cm) long and 0.9, 0.14, 0.18, 0.24” (2.5, 3.5, 4.5, and 6 mm) in diameter. A sturdy C-clamp with a screw holds both halves together. To reverse the mold, unscrew and remove the clamp, flip the removable half of the mold, and clamp back together.

Works like a CHARM. I cannot emphasize enough what a good deal this is. I tried it out today, and it's perfect for my small shop needs. Note: For best results with the round ingot mold, align the removable half just a hair above flush with the base. (stick a sheet of paper under it, clamp it down, then slide out the paper) This will let the metal flow freely into the empty space, while allowing the air to escape at speed, ensuring a full fill.
