locking pliers work as a clamp to hold small items like jump rings, earwires,
and stone settings while soldering, filing, or doing other detail work. They
lock in place by squeezing the handles together, activating the locking
mechanism. To release, pull the handles perpendicular and out. The handles are
coated in pvc, making for a comfortable grip with great leverage, and also a
heat barrier if using them to solder. They are stainless steel with straight
tips and have a polished surface and a box joint. Pliers measure 6” (15.2 cm).
